And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.

The explanation of the words of the Exalted: وَفِي مُوسَى إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ (51:38) (And in Mūsā, when We sent him to Firʿawn with a clear authority.)
The Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says: And in Mūsā ibn ʿImrān, when We sent him to Firʿawn with a proof that made clear to whoever saw it that it was a proof for Mūsā, in favor of the truthfulness of what he said and that to which he called.
As Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His words إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ — he says: with a clear proof.
