The explanation of the words of the Exalted: (51:30) (They said: Thus has your Lord spoken; truly, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.)

The Exalted, whose remembrance is sublime, says, while informing about what the guests of Ibrāhīm said to his wife when she spoke to them — after they had brought her glad tidings of a discerning boy —: "Shall a barren old woman give birth?" (They said: Thus has your Lord spoken), that is to say: thus has your Lord spoken, namely as we have informed you and as we have said to you. (Truly, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing). And the pronoun in His words إِنَّهُ (truly, He) refers to the Lord: He is the All-Wise in His governance of His creatures, the All-Knowing concerning their interests, concerning what has been and what shall be.
