It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.

The statement concerning the explanation of the words of the Exalted: هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا (28) — "He it is who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He might make it prevail over religion in its entirety; and Allah suffices as witness." (28)
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, means by His statement ( هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ ): He who has sent His Messenger Muḥammad ﷺ with the clear exposition and the religion of truth, and that is Islam; whom He sent as one who calls His creatures to it ( لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ ) — He says: so that He might thereby abolish all creeds, until there be no religion other than it. And so it shall be until ʿĪsā the son of Maryam descends and kills the Dajjāl; then, at that moment, all religions are abolished, except the religion of Allah with which He sent Muḥammad ﷺ, and Islam prevails over all religions.
And His statement ( وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا ) — The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says to His Prophet ﷺ: I call upon you, O Muḥammad, to take your Lord as witness over Himself, that He will make the religion with which He sent you prevail ( وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا ) — He says: and He suffices you as witness.
And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the people of interpretation have spoken.

Ibn Ḥumayd related to us, saying: Yaḥyā ibn Wāḍiḥ related to us, saying: Abū Bakr al-Hudhalī related to us, on the authority of al-Ḥasan ( هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا ): he says: He calls upon you to take Him as witness over Himself, that He will make your religion prevail over religion in its entirety. And this is a notification from Allah, the Exalted, to His Prophet ﷺ and to those of his companions who detested the peace of the day of al-Ḥudaybiya, that Allah will conquer Mecca and other cities for them, consoling them thereby over the dejection and grief that had befallen them through their turning away from Mecca before they had entered it and before they had performed the circumambulation around the House (ṭawāf).
