And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."

Explanation of the saying of the Exalted: En als jij hun vraagt: "Wie heeft de hemelen en de aarde geschapen?", zullen zij zeker zeggen: "De Almachtige, de Alwetende heeft hen geschapen" (43:9)
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: And if you, O Muḥammad, ask these polytheists of your people: who created the seven heavens and the layers of the earth, brought them into being, and produced them? — then they will surely say: He who created them is the Almighty (al-ʿAzīz) in His sovereignty and in His vengeance upon His enemies, the All-Knowing concerning them and concerning the things that are within them; nothing remains hidden from Him.
