So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely

And His saying: فَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا (So whatever you have been given of anything, it is but enjoyment of the worldly life). The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: and whatever you have been given, O people, of anything of the splendor of the worldly life, of wealth and sons, it is but enjoyment of the worldly life. The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: it is for you an enjoyment which you enjoy in the worldly life, and it does not belong to the abode of the Hereafter, nor to that which benefits you in your return. وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى (And what is with Allah is better and more lasting). The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: and that which is with Allah for the people of His obedience and faith in Him in the Hereafter is better than what you have been given of enjoyment in the worldly life, and more lasting, for what you have been given in the worldly life passes away, while the bliss that is with Allah in His gardens for the people of His obedience is lasting and does not pass away.
لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا (For those who believe). He says: and what is with Allah for those who believe in Him, and rely upon Him in their affairs, and turn to Him in their matters, and place their trust in Him, is better and more lasting than what you have been given of the enjoyment of the worldly life.
