The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ (44)
(You will remember what I say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah; verily, Allah is All-Seeing of the servants.) (40:44)
The Exalted says, reporting about what the believer from the house of Pharaoh said to Pharaoh and his people: you will remember, O people, when you behold with your own eyes that the punishment of Allah has descended upon you and you have experienced what you have experienced, the truth of what I say and the correctness of that with which I inform you, namely that the transgressors are the inhabitants of the Fire (al-nār).
As Yūnus related to me, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Ibn Zayd said concerning His saying: ( فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ ) (You will remember what I say to you) — I said to him: does that occur in the Hereafter? He said: yes.
And His saying: ( وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ ) (and I entrust my affair to Allah) means: and I surrender myself in my affair to Allah, and I commit it to Him and I place my trust in Him, for He is sufficient for whoever places his trust in Him.
And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the exegetes have said.
* Mention of who said that:
Muḥammad related to us, saying: Aḥmad related to us, saying: Asbāṭ related to us, on the authority of al-Suddī: ( وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ ) (and I entrust my affair to Allah) — he said: I commit my affair to Allah.
And His saying: ( إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ ) (verily, Allah is All-Seeing of the servants) means: verily, Allah has knowledge of the affairs of His servants, and of who among them is obedient and who is disobedient to Him, and who deserves the fair reward and who is deserving of the evil punishment.
