يَعْلَمُ خَآئِنَةَ ٱلْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِى ٱلصُّدُورُ

He knows that which deceives the eyes and what the breasts conceal.

    His statement: ( He knows the treachery of the eyes ) — the Exalted says, while informing about the nature of Himself: your Lord knows that which the eyes of His servants have done treacherously, and that which their breasts have kept hidden, that is to say: that which their hearts hold enclosed within themselves. He says: nothing of their affairs remains hidden from Him, not even that which a person deliberates within himself and what his heart conceals, when he looks — what he aims at with his glance, and what he intends thereby in his heart.

    وقوله: ( يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الأعْيُنِ ) يقول جلّ ذكره مخبرا عن صفة نفسه: يعلم ربكم ما خانت أعين عباده, وما أخفته صدورهم, يعني: وما أضمرته قلوبهم; يقول: لا يخفى عليه شيء من أمورهم حتى ما يحدث به نفسه, ويضمره قلبه إذا نظر ماذا يريد بنظره, وما ينوي ذلك بقلبه .
