Tafseer of The Groups · Az-Zumar · 39:37

وَمَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّضِلٍّ ۗ أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍۢ ذِى ٱنتِقَامٍۢ

And whoever Allah guides - for him there is no misleader. Is not Allah Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution?

    And whomever Allah guides, for him there is none who can lead him astray (39:37). He says: and whomever Allah enables to believe in Him and to act according to His Book, for him there is none who can lead him astray; He says: for him there is none who can divert him from the truth upon which he stands, toward apostasy into unbelief. Is not Allah Mighty, Possessor of retribution? The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says: Is not Allah, O Muḥammad, Mighty in His retribution against the unbelievers among His creatures, Possessor of retribution against His enemies who deny His oneness?

    ( وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ مُضِلٍّ ) يقول: ومن يوفِّقه الله للإيمان به, والعمل بكتابه, فما له من مضلّ, يقول: فما له من مزيغ يزيغه عن الحق الذي هو عليه إلى الارتداد إلى الكفر ( أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍ ذِي انْتِقَامٍ ) يقول جل ثناؤه: أليس الله يا محمد بعزيز في انتقامه من كفرة خلقه, ذي انتقام من أعدائه الجاحدين وحدانيته.
