And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],

Exposition of the interpretation of His statement, the Exalted: فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ("But they denied him, so they will surely be brought forward") (127)
And His statement فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ means: his people denied Ilyās, and they will surely be brought forward. He says: indeed, they will be brought forward into the punishment (ʿadhāb) of Allah, so that they will witness it.
As Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ : into the punishment of Allah.
