And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations:

And His statement وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الآخِرِينَ ("And We left for the two of them among the later generations") means: and We left for the two of them, among the later generations who came after them, the goodly praise concerning them.
