The discourse on the explanation of His statement, the Exalted: (63) (The people ask you about the Hour. Say: knowledge of it is only with Allah. And what will make you know? Perhaps the Hour is near.) (33:63)
He, exalted be His mention, says: يَسْأَلُكَ النَّاسُ (the people ask you), O Muḥammad, عَنِ السَّاعَةِ (about the Hour), when it will come. Say to them: knowledge of the Hour is only عِنْدَ اللَّهِ (with Allah); none other than He knows the time of its coming. (And what will make you know? Perhaps the Hour is near). He says: and what will make you realize, O Muḥammad — perhaps the coming of the Hour is near to you. The time of its coming has already drawn near, and the moment of its arrival has approached.
