The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: (30:51) ("And if We were to send a wind and they were to see it [the crop] turned withered-yellow, they would surely thereafter continue to be ungrateful.")

The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: And if We were to send a wind that spoils what the rain, which We have sent down from the sky, has caused to sprout—and these people, whom Allah struck with that rain, whereby their lands came to life, brought forth grass, and whereby their crops sprouted—were then to see that what their lands had caused to grow of vegetation by that rain had turned withered-yellow, spoiled by that wind which We have sent, so that after its greenness it has turned yellow—then they would, after their rejoicing and their gladness over it, surely continue to be ungrateful (kāfir) toward their Lord.
