The explanation of the words of Allah the Exalted: قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ (33) (He said: "My Lord, I have killed one of them, and I fear that they will kill me.")
Allah the Exalted — exalted be His remembrance — says: قَالَ — Mūsā said: رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ — from the people of Firʿawn — نَفْسًا فَأَخَافُ — if I go to them and cannot defend myself with an argument — أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ — for there is an impediment in my tongue, and with it I cannot make clear what I wish to say.
