Tafseer of The Ant · An-Naml · 27:92
And to recite the Qur'an." And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays - say, "I am only [one] of the warners."

The Most High says: say: إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الْبَلْدَةِ and أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ * وَأَنْ أَتْلُوَ الْقُرْآنَ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَى — He says: whoever follows me and believes in me and in what I have brought, and walks the path of right guidance, فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِي لِنَفْسِهِ — He says: whoever follows me and believes in me and in what I have brought, walks the path of righteousness for his own soul, for by his belief in me and in what I have brought he is secured against the vengeance of Allah in the worldly life and against His punishment in the Hereafter.
As for وَمَنْ ضَلَّ ('and whoever goes astray'): whoever abandons the right path by denying me and denying what I have brought from Allah, فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ — the Most High says: then say, O Muḥammad, to whoever strays from the right path, denies you, and does not believe in what I have given you: 'I am among those who warn their people against the punishment of Allah and His wrath because of their disobedience toward Him. I have warned you of that, O unbelievers of Quraysh. If you accept it and desist from what Allah condemns in you — namely associating partners with Him — then it is your own soul to which you bring good. But if you reject it and deny it, then the evil that you do is directed against your own soul; I have conveyed to you that which I was commanded, and I have given you sincere counsel.'
