Concerning the word of Allah: وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي (And We revealed to Moses: travel by night with My servants) — that is to say: We revealed to Moses, after Pharaoh had persisted in his folly and refused to desist from his rebellion despite the fact that We had shown him Our signs: "Travel by night with My servants" — that is to say: travel by night with the Children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ (Verily, you shall be pursued) — that Pharaoh and his hosts will pursue you and your people of the Children of Israel in order to prevent you from leaving the land of Egypt.
