  1. Full Dutch translation of Tabari's text

Allah, exalted be His praise, says: and truly, this Qurʾān لَتَنـزيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (is indeed a revelation from the Lord of the worlds). The pronoun in His word وَإِنَّهُ refers to the noun dhikr in His word: وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ (and there comes to them no reminder from the Most Merciful).

And with a meaning similar to what we have said, the exegetes spoke.

Mention of those who said that:

Al-Ḥasan related to us, he said: ʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Maʿmar informed us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His word: لَتَنـزيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ — he said: "this is the Qurʾān."
