Tafseer of The Poets · Ash-Shu'araa · 26:183

وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.

    وَلا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ He says: do not shortchange the people in their rights when measuring and weighing. وَلا تَعْثَوْا فِي الأرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ He says: and do not spread corruption in abundance upon the earth. All of this we have already expounded, together with the relevant proofs and the differing opinions of the exegetes, in what preceded, so that it is superfluous to repeat it here once more.

    ( وَلا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ ) يقول: ولا تنقصوا الناس حقوقهم في الكيل والوزن.( وَلا تَعْثَوْا فِي الأرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ ) يقول: ولا تكثروا في الأرض الفساد. قد بيَّنا ذلك كله بشواهده, واختلاف أهل التأويل فيه فيما مضى, فأغنى ذلك عن إعادته في هذا الموضع.
