Allah the Exalted says: وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ("whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger") in what He has commanded him and forbidden him, and submits to the judgment of them both whether in his favor or against him, and fears the consequences of disobedience to Allah and is on his guard against it, and avoids Allah's punishment by obeying Him in His commands and prohibitions — فَأُولَئِكَ — that is to say: those who do this — هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ ("they are the victorious ones") by attaining the good pleasure of Allah on the Day of Resurrection and being in safety from His punishment.
