And His word: وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ — Allah, exalted be His praise, says: to Allah belongs the dominion and sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, to the exclusion of every authority and every kingdom beneath Him. So fear Him, O people, and direct your desire to Him and not to another, for in His hand are the treasuries of the heavens and the earth — He need not fear poverty on account of what He bestows upon you from them. وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ — He says: after your death, your final destination and your return are to Him, and He will fully requite you for the deeds you performed in this world. So perfect your worship of Him, exert yourself in obedience to Him, and send forth for yourselves the righteous works.
