So they denied them and were of those destroyed.

And His statement: فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ — that is to say: Pharaoh and his entourage denied Mūsā and Hārūn, and so they were among those whom Allah destroyed, just as He had destroyed those before them among the communities who had denied their messengers.
