وَلَهُم مَّقَٰمِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍۢ

And for [striking] them are maces of iron.

    As for His words وَلَهُمْ مَقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ (and for them are maces of iron): the keepers of Hell (jahannam) strike their heads with them whenever they wish to leave the Fire, until they drive them back into it.
