So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees.

The Exalted says to His Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: By your Lord, O Muḥammad — We shall surely gather together these people who say: "When we have died, shall we be brought forth alive from our graves on the Day of Resurrection?" — coupled with their companions among the devils. ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا (then We shall surely bring them together around the Hell (jahannam), kneeling). Al-juthiyy is the plural form of al-jāthī (the one who kneels).
As Muḥammad ibn Saʿd related to me, he said: my father related to me, he said: my uncle related to me, he said: my father related to me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās — concerning his words ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا : he means: seated (upon their knees), and it resembles his words وَتَرَى كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً (and you shall see every community kneeling).
